The College has programs to support our overseas students' learning of English.

Our English as an Additional Language (EAL) Program includes:

  • Small group tuition for all students identified as requiring EAL assistance
  • extra individual support for some EAL students
  • Mainstream English classes for advanced EAL students

Students who need even more English tuition choose to attend English Language Centres for 10 to 20 weeks before they come to Copperfield College.

All students at years 7 and 8 participate in our Literate Practices Program, consisting of four ability based sessions per week.
