Performing Arts

The Performing Arts Department at Copperfield College has rapidly expanded in the last 7 years. We now offer a full program of performing arts based subjects throughout the college and one of the largest VCE and VET programs in the area. Students are able to select from Dance, Drama and Music subjects at Junior Campuses and VET Dance, Drama, Music Solo Performance, Music Group Performance and VET Music Industry at the Delahey Senior Campus.  

Copperfield College also has an established instrumental music program where students have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument from a qualified teacher who is also a professional in the music industry. Students are able to select from guitar, bass guitar, drum kit, voice and keyboard/piano and the cost is $30 per semester. 

Students from across the college regularly perform at concerts, community events and various school functions. We also participate in the Kool Skools Recording Project with Studio 52 where Copperfield students are able to record a CD in a professional environment.  Each year the CD features bands and musicians from across the college recording original material. 

Our Performing Arts department produces a musical production every year in which students are encouraged to act, dance, play an instrument, compose music, choreograph, sing, or be involved back stage.

  • The Happiness Cycle
    The Happiness Cycle is providing Copperfield College students between the ages of 13 and 17, who don’t have a bike with a FREE bike, which comes with a helmet, bike lock and lights.
