2012 Year 7 Scholarship Recipients

Academic Excellence Scholarships

These are available to students with an exemplary academic record and who have demonstrated outstanding application, aptitude and achievement in all studies. These students will have also demonstrated a strong work ethic at primary level, have been supportive of fellow students and who have fully participated in the life of their school.

Performing Arts Scholarships

Performing Arts scholarships area available to students who have demonstrated music/ performing arts ability and a strong interest in performance. They will also have sound academic skills and may have participated in Contemporary Music exams or AMEB exams. These students will have also demonstrated a strong work ethic at primary level, have been supportive of fellow students and who have fully participated in the life of their school.

Leadership/ Community Scholarships

These are available to students with a solid academic record who have demonstrated leadership skills and potential in a variety of settings that include participation and commitment to school and community activities. These students will have also demonstrated a strong work ethic at primary level, have been supportive of fellow students and who have fully participated in the life of their school.

Scholarship Selection is by interview - not entry exam.

Successful scholarship recipients will be interviewed at the end of Year 7 to review if scholarship will be continued in Year 8. The scholarship recipient will be expected to demonstrate sufficient evidence in his/her chosen category and this will be supported by evidence such as certificates, reports, teacher references, pieces of work and any other information supporting the application.
