Success via VCE
Copperfield College offers a wide range of subjects for students undertaking the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) at its Senior Campus for year 11 and 12 students at Delahey. Students in year 10 at its Junior Campuses at Kings Park and Sydenham can also elect to study a VCE subject from a select range of subjects provided they have demonstrated the aptitude.
In 2008, Copperfield College received a National Award for Quality Schooling for Excellence in School Improvement. The College is pleased that many VCE students achieve high quality outcomes with a considerable number of students achieving high ENTERs each year and many students successfully competing for entry into a wide range of University and TAFE courses.
VCE students at Copperfield College can also elect to study a Vocational Education and Training (VET) subject as part of their program. Completing a VET course of study provides students with a national qualification at either Certificate II or III level. This qualification by itself can be sufficient to enter the workforce or an industry, but can also be an effective pathway into further study at a TAFE or University.
Over 300 VCAL and VCE students from Copperfield College study their VET in the Brimbank Cluster. This Cluster caters for over 1300 students from neighbouring schools who study VET subjects at schools and tertiary institutions in the local area.
Any student interested in pursuing a VCE program at Copperfield College is encouraged to contact a Campus Leader at our Delahey Campus. Students and their parents are encouraged to discuss this pathway with the relevant Junior Campus Leader or Course Counsellor also.
